San reactions to the news that KPN is a finalist

We are very glad the KPN website has been recognized in this way by news media in South Africa. For too long we have been dealing with community issues and trying to help our people without understanding from the world beyond northeastern Namibia. We know that we now have a network that can speak to people who can help us. 
 

From Ju/'hoan San man Dahm Ghau, Manager, Nyae Nyae Conservancy, July 1, 2010:
 

We want to let people know what we have been doing to take care of our land. We are managing our Conservancy in such a way as to respect the environment. We think there may be other communities in southern Africa who could benefit from hearing our story. We feel the KPN website can take our story to the world along with newspapers and TV.
